Wow, this has a tremendous aroma, all the spices and wheat and the lemongrass came through big time. Flavor was similar, lots going on there, very nice beer. (1051)

Some earthy spice on the nose with a grainy feel. Florally perfume smell also. Taste is light and grassy. Some citrus might be included but shows up fashionably late. Watery aftertaste that keeps the palate wet and clean. WeeHeavySD (2980), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 21, 2009 I found this at Umami Burger on Hollywood Blvd. What an interesting idea for a beer. The bottle design is amazing. The beer pours a cloudy straw yellow. I get hints of fruity pebbles in the nose. The Belgian Witt is clean and tastes better with each sip. Major props to the creator of this craft beer. elihapa (1052), Honolulu, California, USA

First off, let me commend the folks at Nakhon for a beautiful bottle, definitely a classy touch! Pours is cloudy lemon meringue-yellow, with minimal head. Ample lacing however, which lends lasting visual appeal. Nose is soft herbs and spices, a good amount of clove-banana esters, and wheat. Sweet essence. Palate is quite creamy, perhaps that oat addition is more noticeable than I had anticipated. Flavors start with a hit of banana, then layer nicely with subtle lemongrass and sweet wheat. Like any good Belgian, the exact blend of spices is difficult to pick up on. This beer manages to achieve subtlety, unique flavor, and a luxurious palate. Finish is mildly dry, complementary. Lemongrass White is attractive to drink on its own, or even better, as an accompaniment for that Chinese-style steamed Salmon and Bok Choy I’m eating right now!
