Commercial Description:
Our 2008 winter seasonal ale combines the traditional winter spices of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, clove and coriander with an inviting tart orange citrus flavor. The spices are balanced with subtle hints of oak making this a complex yet exceptionally drinkable winter ale. This one is perfect for curling up next to the fireplace and sharing a pint with friends.

Bottle from liquor store in North Park. The aroma has a sourness scent to it but also allows for the added spice to still be relevant even over a half year old. Appeared as a brownish tea color with a small fizzy head that disappeared quickly. Flavor is a tart and flat taste with small traces of spice but this has just been sitting too long on the shelf. I can imagine it tasted well spiced and balanced fresh. In my opinion if a brewing company doesn’t take back old stock once it’s expired they should be penalized with the score of honesty. Doubt I will buy this again if I see it during Christmas time for the current year. Drained the rest of the bottle out.

Nice winter ale with a good Earthy flavor. The spices where tasty and had a nice finish. This was a great beer for sitting by the fire. It was not too overpowering which made for a nice brew.
