Brown beer with a big tan head. Dark dried fruits and caramel malty aroma. Dry and malt dominated flavour with some dried fruit sweetness. Definitely in the malty end of dubbels

Pours a dark brown with reddish hues, and a medium off white head. Smells of sweet dark malts, dark fruits, and hints of spice. The spice was more noticeable in the flavor however, with hints of mint and clove, surrounded by a malty exterior, and finishes light and fruity. Apples, grapes, and plums were all discernible in the taste, which finished with a crisp, lightly bitter punch. I thought this was a very decent dubbel.

Color is clear ruby brown. Big off-white head is creamy. Arom is mild: malts, yeast and some fruits. Sweet spicy flavor is a bit fruity and also somewhat alcoholic. Medium-bodied and smoothly foamy palate.

Presentation: It was poured from a 330ml or 11.2oz bottle into a tulip glass. It has a dark cloudy brown color with some deep ruby highlights. The head is huge, thick and has stiff rocky peaks that are light tan in color. The aroma has lovely fruity esters and a roasted malty character as well. The body is heavy and full. In it there is a rich malty base with funky yeast and a dark fruity character. Dark cherries and prune are noted and add pleasant sweet and tart flavors to the brew. The finish has a fairly dry hops presence that adds some light bitterness. It is well carbonated and bites on the tongue, cutting through the heavy slick palate and the 8% abv. gives a mellow warming affect.

V - brown pour with an exciteable head that crackels but doesn’t leave much lacing behind. A - Not much of one that I could detect. T - first impression is an alcoholic taste which fades into a malty wheat and then is gone in the carbonation. P - carbonation explodes in the mouth seemingly filling up with bubbles and not leaving much in the way of the actual beer behind

Bottle @ Café Viking, Cph. Served in a trappist glass. Pours a clear deep red-brown colour with a very nice steady creamy long lasting beige head leaving a good sticky lacing. Aroma of some yeast and well toasted malt, some dark fruits and alcohol. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is rather mild for a dubbel with a good bitterness, a good well toasted maltiness and some dark fruits.
