| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2006 Nice large creamy off white head that is fully lasting. Clear med-dark red-orange body. Sugary fruit aroma. The flavor is very malty and fruity with a nut aftertaste and a hint of molasses. The texture is bubbly. dkoonce (888), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Poured from bottle - Part of Belgium sampler. Bakery aroma. Agressive head. Flavor reveals banana, molasses, hint of spice. Alc %age noticed only slightly in aftertaste. Creamy feel and finished nicely. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2006 Bottle rating. Last rated from the variety six pack. Cloudy reddish brown with a creamy/puffy huge head. Excellent lacing. Brown sugar, vanilla, and I detect a hint of honey. Finishes with a cocoa. Chaulky on the palate. The one thing that distinguishes this beer from the others (Brouwerij Van Steenberge) is that it is less carbonated and thus is a little smoother. A slight bit thin in flavor, but pretty decent otherwise. Probably the second best offering in the six pack I had from this brewery. Aurelius (2652), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Musty, dark syrup and fruit aroma. Initially the aroma had some off notes, and didn’t really make me go ’Yum’. Good label, dark brown, lightly hazy beer with a big head. Make that a huge head - tan, persistant. The beer was hypercarbonated at first, and then it blew off steam and settled down. Tangy cooked fruit flavors, woody bitter, a bit on the sweet side, dark sugars. Aftertaste is a clingy tartness, with little traces of cocoa or carob. joergen (8617), Frederiksberg, Denmark
