Jun 10, 2006 Bottle. Brown beer with a huge cafe au lait colored head. Rich malt and date/fig aroma. Fruity (cheery/fig) flavor with rich malt and nice yeast complexity. Light chocolate. High carbonation.

Jun 8, 2006 Aroma was sweet, yeasty, caramel malts, some green apple. Pours absurdly large off-white frothy hea, with an amber body. Hits sweet, hint of raisin, licorice, with a yeast overpowering alcohol finish. Medium body. Overall, not a bad beer, but nothing much to rave about and some imbalances.

Jun 7, 2006 poured a nice brown hue with a off white frothy head which had decent retention. sweet malty aroma with hints of cumin and corriandor. Tste was sweet with caramel notes and a warming alcohol finish.

Jun 1, 2006 On tap. Mahogany color, fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet and slightly spicy. Taste is spicy sweet with a slight sour aftertaste-but it’s not overpowering. Rather refreshing.

Jun 1, 2006 I enjoyed this beer bunches. One of the best heads I’ve seen out of a bottle (on pouring, crested over my 16oz glass) and although it settled, a quarter inch or so survived for duration. The odor was slightly musty but weak. The color was an awesome cloudy dark amber to brown. The mouthfeel was hearty with strong carbonation. The flavor was initially sweet but kept honest with a sourness. Enjoyable.
