Medium cloudy brown color with a thin head. Fruity and sour with some dark malt flavors and no hops.

Good looking beer... near opaque, rusty brown body, similar to weak "coffee" as described. Large-bubbled, compact, khaki head. Aromas started as sour fruits with a beefy yeastiness, warming to earthy, chewy, English-malts. Sour start to the flavor with a semi-sweet, malty center and a lingering, sour finish. Well hidden alcohol, although the active carbonation created a dry finish, nonetheless.

Deep copper color with a foam head. Smells like canned peaches. A little bit sweet and fruity, ends dry with a bit of lemon. No discernable hops. Dare I say, a little bit too ghosty.

Bottle: poured a dark opaque chestnut brown with ruby highlights. Large tan cap reduces to a 1cm cap that stays...good lacing....good aroma like bananas with treacle and a light musty note. Substantial malts but medium-light , spritzy-slick body.... slight sour twang up front reminiscent of a Flemish sour red... then a flood fruit taste blanketed in burnt brown sugar...wet finish with some sour drying. A very drinkable abby dubbel

Part of a birthday gift from Tom. Pours a deep, dark red/brown with a merangue like beige head. Aroma is banana bread, raisins, cherries, and carmel. The flavor is apple cider, cherries, and a bit sour. Medium bodied and a bit fizzy but that’ll die down.

Am drinking it now. Seems a bit watery for an 8%, but has nice notes of caramel, sourness, yeastiness and brandy. A nice beer--though not best in class my any means.

Pours a reddish brown with a very large off-white head. Aroma is slightly tangy. Taste is predominately cidery and sour. Not my favorite beer.
