Skidds (198), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Dec 1, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of malts, dark fruits, yeast and a hint of spice. Flavour about the same with some hints of sugar and molasses. Mild spicy finish. Imperial-John (113), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Nov 29, 2008 Dark brown with a beige thick foamy milkshake head that thins but stays foamy and floats on top. Faint yeasty aroma. Sweet, malty, yeast taste. Very refreshing and hides 7% alcohol well. Yves (476), Beerse, Belgium Nov 29, 2008 Brown coloured beer with medium off white head. Malty aroma, bits op hops and chocolate. Full little creamy palate. Finish is bitter malts and spicy. Good one. terrybail (181), , Ontario, Canada Nov 15, 2008 330ml bottle from the LCBO as part of a Belgian Ale Sampler pack

austone (578), Turku; Pori, Finland Nov 15, 2008 33cl bottle. Dark ruby brown, frothy pale head. Yeasty, quite dry aroma with mild spiciness, cellar, rotten banana and wheat. Like a bad dunkelweizen. Dry herbal flavor, yeast and wheat with a bit acidic, berry-like finish. Quite light bodied, overcarbonated spritzy palate. There’s not much likeness with the standard dubbels here.
