Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Somewhat cloudy pale golden color. Light notes of spice, citrus, clove and caramel. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light alcoholic texture. Light sweet with hint of acidic and bitterness. Somewhat spicy like and alcoholic finish. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2007 Pour looks just like champagne with a thicker white head. Aroma of white grapes, apples, sour yeast, and alcohol. Tart, bitter flavor was unexpected but not bad. Apples, grain, and bready prevalent. Missing the nice banana/bubblegum. There are better trippels out there. HenrikSoegaard (4396), Randers, Denmark

Light malty moderate hopppy aroma. Sour-notes (from the yeast). Moderate bitter flavor. Moderate bitter avergage finish. Too carbonated. Not my kind of trippel. truebluehes (104), Tipton, Iowa, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Bottle. Light yellow beer with a white head that dissipates quickly. Alcohol was noticeable and a bit watery. Van Steenberge has made better efforts. Holdwine (909), Beertimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Nice enough tripel- although nothing to get too excited about. Very sweet and spicy. Hard to believe it comes in at 9%. More drinkable than most tripels, but maybe because it is missing some of the complexity you’d expect. gunnfryd (3614), Kristiansand, Norway

Spiced and fruity, mostly orange and lemon, with some alcohol. Sweet flavor as well, some alcohol, spices, fruits and some grain. Full body. Long, sweet and fruity finish with a little spiced touch. Dangerously easy to drink. Nice. (070528)
