Commercial Description:
BO’s “Blonde” version of the Munich-style gold lager is designed to encompass the character of a beer straight from the great beer halls of Munich. The gentle flavor of imported German Pilsner malt along with the crispness of the German lager yeast are delicately balanced by the fine aromas of German Hallertau and Czech Saaz hops to make this beer a great drinking beer in any situation, as well as a fine match with Bruschetta, Cheese Bread and milder fish dishes like Fish And Chips. BO’s Blonde has a calculated ABV content of about 4.5%.

On tap @ Bo’s on St. Patrick’s Day ’07, and dyed green. Although somewhat sweet and malty, this beer’s main flavor was of carbonated water. Very light tasting. I certainly hope Bo’s has some better brews than this.

On tap at the brewpub on 4/27/06: Pours a lightly effervescent pale golden with no head. Slightly adjuncty pale malty aroma. Starts semi-sweet with some gritty carbonation before a drier finish with some floral noble hops. Just too thin and bland for my taste.

On tap: As expected, weal aroma with just a touch of citus. Pale yellow with almost no head. Your basic beer created for the Bud/Bud Light crowd in a brewpub. Pretty standard except a little sourness in the finish that appears to be a house taste for their lighter beers.

Tap: pale golden yellow. Lacks in every category. Can’t say a whole lot more.
