Jul 28, 2005 Fuelic nose, very sweet and syrupy. Annoying unintegrated hops. Burning hay-like juiciness, sweet to the end. A bit like they had used dark malts in there, honeyish and syrupy. Hop juice finish, extremely grapefruity, piney and coniferous. Lots of bitterness, but less aromatics among the syrupy, thick, floral and fuelic dominants.

Jul 28, 2003 Updated: Jul 24, 2005Rerate MiBG Fest 2005: More balanced it seems, still a lot of juicy hops but seems not so in your face as I wrote two years ago...
MBG Summer Fest: The appearance is different for sure, cloudy copper hue with small particles dancing around top to bottom, small firm head. Really grapefruity nose with just a hint of herbs and spices. While the taste is tart and bitter, it is not overpowering. Strange mouthfeel for it finishes crisp and dry, but yet it is very chewy. I would say that it is indeed extreme, but not great.

Jul 30, 2006 MBG 06. Dark hazy orange, bubbly head. Artificial orange juice aroma - ok. Lots of hops and not much alcohol in taste - big biting hops at the end. Soooo citrusy. Nice, not mind blowing, but enjoyable stuff.

Jul 24, 2005 On tap at MBG Festival: Big sweet citrus aroma with lots of piney hops. Reddish-orange with no transparency and a small off-white head. Light sweetness up front with a big citrus and pine hop finish. The slightest hint of caramel is dominated by the hoppy finish.

Jul 28, 2003 MIBG Fest: Cloudy musty orange colour with some floaties. Aroma and flavour both feature BIIIIG grapefruit and piney hops. Definately chewy as the other raters have noted. Unbalanced as hell, but still good.

Aug 14, 2003 6 Billion IBUs in this crazy concoction of hop juice. Huge piney aroma with little malt to speak of, although the drink was thick and chewy. The sweetness I fought hard to grasp made it seem like I was eating a candybar made of hops. A really unique hophead treat that is easily enjoyed in small samples, but too much could have dire results on your tastebuds...and motor skills, it packs 11%+ under all that chewy bitterness.

Jul 28, 2003 MIBG Fest: Cloudy and super-carbonated. Surreally orange, lasting head with particulate stuck in it! Completely huge Centennialish aroma - burns your eyes like cutting onions - not a lot of sweet malt overload as in Dreadnaught, quite bitter. Chewy as hell.

Aug 1, 2004 Rusty orange color. Small head. Big citrus aroma. Thin body. At first taste not remarkable and then a huge hop release.
