Dec 26, 2007 7-22-06 MBG. Black, beige head. aroma has huge hop and alcohol kick up front. Big citrus zest and roasted background. Flavor has big bitter roast up front, fades to coffee and chocolate, with huge residuel sweetness. Hops try to balance but it’s a lost cause. No smoke to speak of.

Feb 26, 2006 On tap: Aroma of chocolate and caramel with moderate grapefruit hops. Dark brown with hints of orange hilights with a small off-white head. Hints of chocolate and roastiness up front. Finish has lots of grapefruit hops. Smoke flavor is minimal.
