CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 14, 2006 On tap at the brewpub on 4/27/06: Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a thin ring of white head. Lightly citric pale wheaty aroma has a touch of German hops. Starts lightly sweet and tart. I can’t tell if it’s the beer or the lemon wedge that I’m tasting. Finishes tart and dry. goldtwins (4078), Nesconset, New York, USA May 2, 2006 Draft @ Bo’s: Served with a lemon garnish. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Very lemony in the aroma. Smelled like pledge, but not in a bad way. Malty underneath. The flavor had lemon from the start with a wheatiness underneath.. Fizzy mouthfeel. I can see this as a refreshing drink in the heat. Like drinking lemonade. CO2 bite on the finish. walleye (876), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Mar 12, 2006 from the tap. poured a medium yellow with a very small head that did not leave any lacing. aroma weak, white pepper, lemon, spicey like old cinnamon. flavor this as a little more going for it the flavor are a little more robust than the aroma, orange came out first than got some yeast with a little pepper. for a wit not to bad easy to drink. Pailhead (2572), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Mar 25, 2005 On tap: Decent citrus aroma with some orange peel. Mostly transparent yellow that’s a touch hazey. Citrusy from the start and gets sour in the finish. Seems like the finish is a combo of the initial citrus flavor as well as that house sour flavor in the finish. The finish becomes more lemony than citrus as a whole. hennes (932), Fountain, Michigan, USA Apr 12, 2002 If there’s a consistant knock on Bo’s collection of brews it’s that they’re a tad sweet and this one suffers the most from that flaw. Still, its a decent wit: a big jolt of spice (cinnamon!) and citrous. The big flavour is key because there isn’t much body.
