Commercial Description:
During the 1800's, when the sun never set on the British Empire, beer being shipped to the Far East always arrived spoiled. To correct the situation, British brewers added large quantities of hops to their pale ales. (Hops act as a natural preservative in beer). The result is an intensely hoppy amber beer. Cask pour is clear orange with the creamy looking head. Aroma is oranges. Tastes the same, sometimes I feel that cask takes away flavor and trades it for body. This didn’t seem very hoppy at all. But there was enough bitterness to balance the malt.

Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition festival. Pours copper / orange with a light tan head. The aroma has citric and earthy hops and english yeast. Medium body with light carbonation. The taste is like the aroma. There is also some cracker and sourness. Its okay, but far to British for my liking.

Draft at the Cool Springs location. Eggshell color head that faded and a clover honey color body. Citrus, spice, but muted hops on the nose. Flavor had citrus and spicy hops and some caramel sweetness. Decent bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear golden with a white head and nice lacing. Aroma is simple caramel and light hop florals. Taste is sweet caramel base, floral citrus hops not too bitter. Re-rate: Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Through a Marvin with Cascade hops. Dark orange, off white foam. The aroma is big spicy hops, pine. Taste is more malty caramel body, spicy hops, nicely bitter. Improved over the standard version. Original rating: 6:3:6:3:13

Draft at Lil Rock, AR. location. Clear amber with a white head. Mild floral hoppy aroma. Medium body and smooth. Good floral hop taste riding on a caramel grainy malt base brew. Good mesh of the caramel sweetness and floral hops here. Perfect brew to wash down one of their tasty pizzas.

on tap-pours an off white head that laces and gold color. Aroma is pine hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is pine/citrus (cascade) hops-some bitterness, secondary medium malt-sweet. Easy.

On tap in Little Rock. Pours with a large, fluffy, off-white head that leaves lots of lacing and a white ring. Deep golden huee. Aroma is hoppy with spicey and slightly citrusy C-hops. Taste is slightly muddy and minerally with the hops shining through. Lightly fizzy.

Another boring beer from these guys. Clear amber pour with minimal ring of white head. Very hoppy with some honey notes. Fair IPA, but nothing special
