Commercial Description:
Brewed using a traditional German technique, stones heated in our wood fired ovens are lowered into the beer during the brewing process, giving the beer its unique caramel character.

On tap at Memphis brewpub. Pours clear dark yellow gold with white head. Aroma is malty with some caramel. Flavor is again malty with some caramel and some toast. Your basic malt and caramel combo. Drinkable.

Tap at Nashville location. Small white head with short retention, transparent body, visible carbonation, spotty amounts of lacing, and a yellow hue. The aroma was sweet, malty, lightly hoppy, and light on the caramel. The flavor mimicked the aroma along with some fruitiness and tasted thin. The mouthfeel was smooth and this is a light bodied beer. This beer ended up being disappointing as it lacked character and was rather boring to drink. Not a beer that I would drink again if it were available.

Draught in Little Rock: This one pours a clear golden amber color that had a small white head on it. The head drops away very quickly, and left almost no lacing. The aroma was a bit light and slightly sweet. Some caramel and fruit notes to the nose. The taste was decent. It was slightly sweet, and very smooth and drinkable. Notes of caramel, fruits, earthiness and a faint nuttiness to it.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of finely sized white colored bubbles that were fully diminished and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange colored body. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of ale like malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Pours a light golden color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, some maple syrup, some toast, and a little bit of earthyness. Flavor is caramel, some honey, slightly fruity, and a sweet caramel finish.

On tap at the brewery in Franklin. Very light pils color. Taste is like the usual light pils, except with a very definitive caramel undertone that I have only ever tasted before in Port Hot Rocks Lager. Easy drinking beer and interesting enough to make it one I wouldn’t mind drinking a couple of. Full-bodied for the style.

Hoppy aroma. This beer did not deliver the promised unique caramel character. In fact, it was watery and lacking.
