Commercial Description:
Hop growers and researchers seem to be in a constant search to develop the next “perfect” hop. Every year they develop new varieties. Glacier hops, developed a few years ago, is one of the better of the new hops. This beer is brewed exclusively with Glacier which allows the crisp bitterness and flowery flavors of the hop to be on center stage of the flavor profile of this beer. O.G. 1055 I.B.U. 36

On hand pump at the brewpub in Nashville. Cloudy pale yellowish orange color. Nice hoppiness. Oddly enough I got not onlyt the floral notes, but the citrus character was on the orange side. A nice enough APA, interesting, but not special.

Rating may be a bit low because this beer wasn’t bad. I may have rated this beer comparing with my beloved Bombay IPA which it doesn’t compare. An unfair rating is my belief due to this fact. Guess I’ll have to have another.

Tap. Light tan with an orange glint to the body. Lacing white head. Light dusty watered hop nose that is a bit grassy. Smells like a field after a rainstorm. Buttery sweet flavor with a light hop background. Floral finish. A nice caramel flavor. Ap-3 ar- 6 tas- pal-3 ov-14

Draft at Bosco’s. Clear golden color with a smallish white head. Light malt aroma with a bit of hops in the background. Smooth, lightly bodied very quaffable brew that starts with a sweet malt start and ends with a touch of hop bitterness. Neither the malt or hops are really strong in this one, but the brew has no faults coming through which allow the light malt and hop flavor to do it on their own. An easy to drink session type APA.

Draft at brewpub. Not much aroma, maybe some caramel malt. Pours copper with thin white head. Mouthfeel is a tad watery. Sweet and pronounced caramel and toffee flavors in the malt profile, nicely offset by subtle sweet, floral flavors of the Glacier hop. Interesting brewing experiment. Good stepping stone beer if you are trying to develop your palate for hoppier beers.

Draught in Nashville. Pours copper with a thin white head and spotty lacing. Aroma is grassy malt and yeast with citrus hop notes. Moderately bitter hop rind start, malt (straw) and yeast (sweat, grass) flavors. Medium bodied and smooth, dry palate.
