The aroma was earthy and woodsy with a light caramel character and a floral and fruity nature. The beer arrived still cascading from the hand pull but ultimately was crystal clear golden amber with an off-white super frothy head which coated the glass with Belgian lace from the top to the bottom (a beautiful pour). The flavor was nutty with a strong caramel, citrus and woodsy character. The bittering was nice with a good balance to the malt presence. The finish was even heading toward dry. The body was medium with a low level of carbonation and a huge creamy texture on the palate. A very nice APA in need of an aroma boost.

Clear golden color with a smallish white head.
Light malt aroma with a bit of hops in the background.
Smooth, lightly bodied very quaffable brew that starts with a sweet malt start and ends with a touch of hop bitterness. Neither the malt or hops are really strong in this one, but the brew has no faults coming through which allow the light malt and hop flavor to do it on their own. An easy to drink session type APA. Pours copper with thin white head. Mouthfeel is a tad watery. Sweet and pronounced caramel and toffee flavors in the malt profile, nicely offset by subtle sweet, floral flavors of the Glacier hop. Interesting brewing experiment. Good stepping stone beer if you are trying to develop your palate for hoppier beers. charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 11, 2007 On draft at the Memphis locale. Billed as a showcase for Glacier hops. Burnished gold body with the biggest head I’ve ever had on a beer at Boscos. Floral, almost minty aroma with some citrus, too. Taste is well-balanced with a good clean bitterness and only a slight resiny citrus American hop flavor. Nice. locarboy (115), USA

Oddly enough I got not onlyt the floral notes, but the citrus character was on the orange side. A nice enough APA, interesting, but not special.
