lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 1, 2009 As Belgian Golden Ale with a choice of Trappist or Abbey yeast. This is the Trappist yeast version. Golden yellow, white cover. Aroma is spicy, esters, musty, some fruit, white sugar. Taste is dry, something seems off, just empty, some spicy esters but lacking all around. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jan 25, 2009 12 oz bottle at the Nashville location. Poured a hazy yellow color with a huge white, bubbly head. The aroma was very spicy, with pepper coriander, and a yeasty note. The flavor was spicy, with a dry bitter finish. Some of the bottle conditioned beers you get here are wonderful and some are just ok. This is one of the ok ones. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jan 7, 2009 12oz btl. hazed yellow gold with thin watery looking head. Corrinader, pepper, belgian yeast on the nose. Dry clovish flavor with a medium bitter and a lingering light yeast after flavor. Watery medium bodied, light carbonation.
