Commercial Description:
In German, “hefe” means yeast, “weizen” means wheat. This unfiltered German-style wheat beer is light bodied but full flavored. The strain of yeast used to ferment the beer adds unique flavors perceived as fruity (citrus or banana), cloves, and even bubble gum. O.G. 1046 I.B.U. 10

On tap at the Little Rock location. smells like a banana split. like drinking a banana with cloves stuck in it. ridiculously hefe-like. almost cartoon-like in its hefeness. some lacing. hefe people would love this. Of the group, my guess is this is the one beer at Boscos that is most outstanding in its beer category. It is gutsy, in my opinion, to have your lone wheat beer be this one in a world of popsicle flavor wheat beers. This is a loud, bold, hefe.

I loved this beer. Big hefe fan. Aroma was light citrus. Flavor was heavy clove and banana with some other minor spices on the end. Hazy color typical of most hefeweizen beers. Good selection.

Growler-Memphis. LOTS of clove and sweet banana in the flavor. Maybe some cinnamon in the nose as well as clove. This one takes me back to Germany, no doubt. Love this beer!

had this one on table, very good, light beer, head was white with a golden body with a sweet fruit taste to it, well balanced and one of their better, balanced beers

Tap at Boscos. Foggy light yellow with a thin white head. Banana and bubblegum aroma. Vanila and bana flavors dominate. Some lemon and clove sneak in. Good beer. A

On draft at the Memphis location. Hazy, almost neon yellow-orange with a small white head. Typical aroma of banana, clove and slight hint of apricot. Tastes the same with the addition of a mild acidity. Medium mouthfeel. A well-rounded hefe in my opinion. I could have done without the huge chunks of orange and lemon that accompained the glass, though.

Draft at Nashville location: Served with a lemon slice. Cloudy yellow with a white head that left some lacing. Moderate aroma of oranges and banana. Hoppy flavor with oranges and pine detected. Light and watery. Nice smooth Hefe.

On tap Nashville. A hazed golden pour. An aroma of corriander and bannana. A crisp flavor of the corriander comes out first then fades to the fruit and finishes with a very light bitter. Another decently carbonated beer with a solid palate all round but just a tad(wee tad) on the light side. Very good for the style no real flaws. I might should have rated it a tad higher. Maybe next time.
