Apr 26, 2009 Clear amber with suspended particulates everywhere and a thin white head, quickly gone. Aroma of sweet malt, cereal grains, alcohol and caramel. Taste of corn, alcohol, sweet malt and a cardboard finish. Seems pretty thin. Try their Black Boss Porter, that one is much better.

Apr 21, 2009 Bottle... Poured golden with a huge, frothy, white head. Skunky aroma of malts and sweet honey and herbal sugars. Palate was a little thick and chunky. Lots of sweet malt flavors and some hops too. A little tangy of a finish.

Apr 10, 2009 500 ml bottle purchased at Central Market in Shoreline, WA. Pours a piss colored yellow with a white foamy head. Aroma: Skunky & funky. Taste: Sour & bitter...it’s ot horrible, but I just don’t like it.

smell of grain, sour malt, touch of citrus.
taste is watery, grainy, somewhat funky, sour malt, some citrus, ends dry.

Apr 3, 2008 Pours a light golden color with thin white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is malty, tastes almost like honey and corn. This is a syrupy, alcoholic version of bud - a plsnery mead. Not bad actually, just not terribly complex or interesting.. It is hard to believe that Black Boss comes from the same brewery, as it is a far better beer.

Appearance: Golden brew with light hint of amber in it. Small white top.
Nose : Semi clean malt oriented aroma, light hint of fruitiness and somewhat drying alcohol. 5-
Flavor/Palate : Grainy with wheat like accents, even bits of rye found. Fruity front, slightly chewy in texture. Light hint of hops. One step above average mocne.

Feb 17, 2008 Nice golden color,small white head that had a short hang time then faded to leave nothing behind.The aroma was mildly malty some corniness and a slight sweetness as well.The flavor was not to bad mildly malty some definate corn with a mild showing of alcohol.It actually manages to come off as not to bad,medium smoothness if there is such a thing,over all decent and somewhat drinkable.
