Flavor is smooth with a sweet overall tone to it, but not so overly sweet that it overpowers. Slight corn taste it seems, but overall just a smooth lager. Feel is nice. Good amount of carbonation and goes down smooth. Highly drinkable. Sure it is a typical old lager, but these guys go down smooth and even. Could sit with these all night.

Light golden beer, small white head, some lacing.
Aroma is actually not too bad, honeyish malts mainlly but it smelled fresh to me.
Flavour sweet malts, rather honeyish, marshmallow even, the barest hint of hops, somewhat salty.
Not bad on the palate, heavy but smooth enough.
Im not sure if I got the same beer as most other raters, but i found this very acceptable.
FAR FAR better than any of its American cousins , the Malt Liquors.

Nose has a grainy sweetness, like fresh cracked corn, fresh and crisp, clean to the senses, start is lightly sweet, with a nice grain presence, top is light to medium in its feel to the palate. Finish has a respectable acidity, the hops detectable, and the 8.1 percent ABV, makes itself known, quite dry, as dry as Arizona, as it hasn’t rained here in 110 days, bodes ill for the fire season that’s just around the corner, anyone know a “Rain Dance”? Appearance: Golden brew with light hint of amber in it. Small white top. Nose : Semi clean malt oriented aroma, light hint of fruitiness and somewhat drying alcohol. 5- Flavor/Palate : Grainy with wheat like accents, even bits of rye found. Fruity front, slightly chewy in texture. Light hint of hops. One step above average mocne.

Aroma had a light sweetness along with a more dominating grain notes. Yellow body with white creamy fading head. Corn malt with some acidic lemon flavor. Nothing to exiting. Thought alcohol content would of packed more of a punch in this one but didn’t. Dry bitter corn aftertaste. Just another average lager. scrizzz (1333), kirkland, Washington, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Pours a light golden color with thin white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is malty, tastes almost like honey and corn. This is a syrupy, alcoholic version of bud - a plsnery mead. Not bad actually, just not terribly complex or interesting.. It is hard to believe that Black Boss comes from the same brewery, as it is a far better beer.
