Body is a dark amber that goes full brown in dark light. The tan head is very creamy, fluffy and fairly lasting. Molasses, brown sugar, raisins, rum raisin, dark breads and sweet breads, mild chocolate notes sugar sweetened blueberries and hints of other dark fruits. Very sweet and malty, but I rather like the flavor and would definitely keep this around for occasional drinking. maeib (4776), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

A very dark brown coloured beer with a reddish tint and no real head. The aroma is very malty and fruity. LOts of beeries and a hint of chocolate and coffee. Intensely fruity and sweet taste with tons of caramel and lots of berries again. Also hints of coffee. Verging on a doppelbock as far as the flavours go, but with a nice lower alcohol level. Maybe a tad too fruity but still very good. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Very dark brown, creamy head. Nice aroma, really sweet, roasty, molasses. Smokey, soy sauce, dark malt taste. Lingering woody hops, earthy - a really great linger. A little thin, but that’s what Dunkels are, right? Hints of BBQ sauce, grease. I found this complex and very enjoyable, one of best Dunkels I have had. johndoughty (2170), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

Caramel and dried fruit up front, has a very subtle tartness to the finish. Grows more complex as it warms up a bit, more pronounced flavors of fig. Nice surprise goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands

Some caramel hints, a nice foamy head. kenb (1101), Oregon, USA

(thanks for the recommendation Matt!) Chilled for 1 hour. Clear dark Mahoganey color. 3 in" beige head that leaves a LOT of lace. Spicey, fruity, malty caramel aroma with a hint of vanilla. Taste has notes of plums, raisins, cherries, and coffee.
Very smooth and sweet malty finish followed by some almond at the end. well-balanced as the wonderful aromatic noble hops do come through in the finish and the aftertaste. I really, really, really like this beer, and will be seeking out more. My only complaint is that it is a bit lightbodied..but it is a BOCK, not a dopplebock, so will let that slide and simply consider it a great tastey beer. bman1986 (142), Broadstairs, Kent, England

A little cold so aroma wasn’t very pronounced, a little coffee and roasted malt. Lovely satisfying flavour full of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Nice viscosity, lovely beer.
