Nose of plantain chips, honey and peppery citrus yeast. The flavor is balanced, a little weak but fizzy and slightly sweet. Rolls on the palate quite nicely. Decent and citrusy. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2006 Flaxen appearance with a foamy head and stringy lace. Dry and dusty with some grassy hopes. Sour citrus in the form of lemons. Doughy and yeasty notes as well. The citrus comes out more abundantly in the flavors. Floral hops and there is a little bit of heat as the alcohol comes out. The palate is rather dusty with a dry bite at the tail. IndianaRed (1559), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 17, 2006 Bottle pours a slightly hazy, light yellow with a massively thick and dense brightwhite head. Several minutes later and it was still full and merangue-like. Amazing. Aromas mainly of light Belgian yeast notes and some lemon or orange citrusy bits as well. Flavor was similar, but ligheter and a bit of apples and apricots. Soft palate with moderate carbonation. Nice slightly bitter trailer. CaptainCougar (5517), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 5, 2005 Pours a clear bright golden with a huge, airy, rocky head, with clumpy lacing. Nice lightly sweet malt, candi-sugar, and floral, bready yeastiness in the aroma with good complexity. Starts mildly sweet with some lemony citrus and biscuit malt turning drier and allowing some bittering hops to come through toward the tart, sticky finish. Nicely balanced and enjoyable, but I prefer a touch less citrus tartness. Still a very drinkable and well-done brew. Many thanks to Larry Pitonka for the trade! drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA

Remarkable fresh malt with a clean flavorful yeast that is in no way overbearing. Sets the bar for other blondes. Clean clean beer with great flavor.
