Large, rocky tan head that lasts with an abundance of sticky lacing. Clear, chestnut colored brew. Frutiy nose, sweet malts, raisins and chocolate, nicely blended. Medium body, gentle carbonation, coating. Medium sweet malts backed by notes of bananna, chocolate and yeast, over ripe apples and some bubblegum notes also. Finish is moderately sweet and fruity. Big alcohol, well hidden. Props to Larry Pitonka for the trade!

Baby Duck-style plastic cork. Cloudy medium-brown colour. Big fruity aroma (grape, raisin, plum) with a little yeast and alcohol for good measure. Very sweet flavour, figgy, alcoholic and dense with malt. Lay it down - it will rock in a few years but right now it’s way too sweet.

750 ml corked and caged. Cheesey plastic cork. Dark brown with a light ruby tint and thin off-white head. Sweet malty aroma throws off lots of complexity, banana, apple, plum/prune, fig/date, and a decent amount of chocolate aroma as well. There are also loads of sweet malty aromas, brown sugar, caramel, some toasted malts. Flavour is very sweet however, caramel, toast, brown sugar mixed with sweet banana and apple esters. Tends to get a bit cloying as you drink more of it. It’s not quite where it could be, but I think in 3 or 4 years this will blow people away. There is loads of complexity stashed away in this bottle. I can’t wait.

Dark brown colored, thin fluffy off-white head. Sharp aroma of yeast and fruit with sour hints and a tone of alcohol. Lots of fruit in the flavor, plum and citrus, hints of yeast. Sharp and sweet and a foamy mouthful. Warming from the alcohol. Good, but not close to its Belgian brothers.

Brown coloured with a big off-white head. The aroma is malty, sweet, fruity, and spicy. The taste is malty, hoppy, yeasty, with notes of grapes and plums. With an alcoholic finish.
