This beer pours hazy ruby to brown body, with a medium tannish head. Yeasty and spicy flavor, quite alcoholic. Too much alcohol. madsberg (4966), Søborg, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2005 Bottled: What a surprise that one of the beers from my wishlist show up on the Millenium tasting. Thanks nicolascage. Pours a dusty amber colour. Chocolate brown head. .Nose of sweetness, alcohol andd some chocolate. Vague fruitaccents. Flavour is sweet and almost cloying. Alcohol is very dominant. Is quite dry and citric in the end. Pretty onedimensional and ordinary beer. In my books not in the same legue as the great belgians in this style. Even some of the few american beers of the style I’ve tried was more balanced and complex. Ungstrup (15258), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2005 Bottled. Brown coloured. Fruity and malty aroma with yeasty notes. Very sweet and fruity flavour with a yeasty touch. A nice brew, but not as good as a real Rochefort. Thanks Nicolas Cage. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 4, 2005 (on bottle)Very nice, chestnut-dark brown, small, lasting head. An alchololic, chocolaty and cherry bon-bon-nose, nice and varied complexiticity. The flavour is rather cloyingly sweet though and a dominat alcohol-lash makes it a bit difficult. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA

Poured a very dark amber with a ruby tint. and small off white head. Sweet aroma was fruity with bubble gum, candy and alcohol. Sweet flavors with almost some citrus. Alcohol taste and very warming. Not as balanced as some of the others quads of the night but nice flavors.
