Pours a Dark brown, with a small light tan head. Smells of sweet dark fruits, dark malts, a little candy sugar, and vanilla notes. The flavor was much of the same. I got a decent little alcohol burn throughout with the dark sweet fruits and a touch of candy sugar attempting to balance it out. A little syrupy on the palate, with a good amount of heat. Very flavorful brew. Very nice drinking quad.

C&PLYFOTD: Bottle, courtesy hopscotch. Dark red brown pour, creamy full amount of lacing, head. Nose is slightly tart with some raspberries, cherries, massive oak notes and caramel, and slight chocolate. Rich and full of delicious dark fruits and creamy chocolate flavors, sweet, brown sugar, molasses. Full-bodied, balanced well, held up quite well. Yummy.

Sample at O-town throwdown ’09 pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is strong with candi sugar, dark fruits. Taste, candi sugar, dark fruits; possibly figs/prunes, chocolate malts. Overall palate is filled with the combination of malts, sugar and thickness of the fruits. Wow that beer is just insanely good, even after a few years on it.

750 ml bottle shared at Woodshop tasting. Lots of dark fruit and sweet bread off his brown pour with smallish head. Flavors were more dark fruit and sugar candy. Pretty good stuff.

750ml bottle...pours a dark raisin brown with an thin off-white head.... aroma of sweet candied sugar, dark fruit, and mild spices.....flavor-wise this has very held up much to the aging. dark fruit raisin and juicy fruit (not the gum). with heavy carbonation.
