very dark coloring with a fairly large head. The aroma was a who’s who of smells including bananas, cocoa, fig and something else that I couldn’t place, maybe a spice of some sort. Perfect cocoa/coffee taste with yeast like undertones through-out

This one was quite a treat to have as it is of unknown vintage, but surprisingly balanced and complex even for a quad. The nose of soda bread and figs alone made this one a great beer.

RBSG 05. Traditional quad look- very murky brown with a nice head. Aroma is sweet and yeasty with a lot of fruit. Plum, apricot, berry, etc. Some chocolate flavor along with nuts, and lots of spicy yeastiness. SOmewhat earthy and dry in the finish possibly due to the high carb. Pretty good overall though.

RBSG 2005. Cloudy med. brown color. Sweet candy sugar nose with raspberries and strawberries. Sweet malty mouth of chocolate, candy sugar, but high carbonation and an overwhemlingly sweet finish really knock down this beer.

(750ml bottle, RBSG05) Big beige head, some floaties, opaque brown body. Aroma is moderately sweey, milk chocolate. Taste is sweet, milk chocolate, caramel, light cherry, some alcohol burn in the finish. Medium-full body.
