Bottle. Color is a hazy orange with a sparse head. Aromas are grassy and sweetly fruity. I’d agree with others that pears and peaches are good descriptors of the fruit aromas. Flavor is pretty much on par with the aromas... sweet fruits and a bit of a yeasty and grassy undercurrent, all of which give way to a warm alcohol finish. Mouthfeel is fairly thin, which works well for the crisp flavors that it is working with.

Pours bright orangish golden with a mostly receding wispy tan head. Aroma of peaches, alcohol, pear, and citrus. Taste of pear, peach, fruity esters, citrus and higher alcohols. Full bodied, lightly sticky with lush carbonation. A good tripel, although it’s lacking some refinement.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured cloudy yellow with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate yeasty, sour citrus and small alcohol aroma. Medium body with thick particles. Medium sweet & sour citrus flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid beer.

Thanks for the bottle, Duane. Dark gold and orange body with a light white head. The aroma is perfume and sweat with some peach pie. The taste has some nice peach pie and cinnamon. A highly carbonated body complements the sweet and slightly funky beer. That nice note of peach continues throughout the beer. Nicely made.

Thin white head on top of nearly clear golden body. One empty, the bottom of the bottle contained all the yeast, therefore a clear look. Aroma was of honey and sweet cotton candy. I expected the same for the body, but found that to be quite dry and bland. Actually disappointed, because this lacked the flavor that the aroma lead way to. Bottle was from 2002, so maybe it lost some wallop after time. Will try again if I can find.

Got this one thanks to dmac621. Pours out a strange very cloudy orangy color. Little oxidized, but other than that the aroma is very sweet. Taste is of some sweet fruits, honey and yeast, also little alcohol on the finish. Not bad, but not great

2002 bottling. Cloudy yellow color with a tight white head. Big fruity, yeasty, earthy, honey smell is lightly oxidized. Medium body. Good flavors mirror the smell with a light sweetness up front followed by sharp dryness in the finish. A good triple here, enjoyed this one. 122306

Sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel" tasting. Clear pale with dense pff-white head. Slight dough, very fruity, alc, slight dry. Alc, dough flavor, yeast, red-green apple. Medium creamy body. What a mess, alc is too strong and it’s too sweet and fruity.
