2003 Vintage: Poured a clear deep gold with a medium sized white head and yeasty chunks in the bottom of the pour. Sweet aroma of aged malt, toffee, apples and pears. Sweet fruity malt flavor with a finish that has a little spiciness. Alcohol is mostly hidden but some taste and warmth is present. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation on the tongue.

This bottled brew from Aofoxxy at a rating party poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that was mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy uncarbonated yellow-white colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was floral and malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops sweet and floral. A decent one that I would consider having again.

From a 11.2 oz. slender capped brown bottle with a 2004 bottling date. Poured a cloudy amberish orange with a foamy white head that settled into a thin, slightly soapy lacing, a little laced sticking. Aromas of coriander, a little clove spiciness, candied sugar and a citrus mixed with pear fruitiness and a very solvent-like alcohol. Good carbonation and crisp, carbonated smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel. A sipper for sure, tastes of pears with citrus squeezed over them, a mellow tartness and a bit sour, coriander and a subtle clove, powdery towards the end, sweetness from candied sugar, the alcohol really kicks in at the finish, you can taste it’s strength and warmth. A cheap and affordable tripel that’s not that bad, I would purchased this only once in awhile, for a change of pace.

Rather cloudy straw yellow color with medium sized pure white head. Aroma is rather fruity, with apple, pear, white grape, hint of bananna and lemon. Flavor has touch of sharp malty, hints of honey and lemon. Finish is sweet, but not cloying. A nice brew, though definitely different from the average tripel.

Bottle. Small white head that quickly dissipated, sparse lacing, no visible carbonation, cloudy, and a pale yellow hue. Nose was semi-sweet, citrus, spicy and alcohol. Flavor was sweet, malty, vinuous, fruity, citrus, and spicy. Tingly palate. Medium body.

This beer pours an orangey amber mixed color with perhaps the most floaties I may have ever seen in a beer before. The head was massive and pearlish with a good amount of lacing on the side of the glass. The aroma is lemony with lots of bread. The flavor is grapefruit grapefruit and more grapefruit! . Bittesweet mouthfeel, dry and astringent with almost a dirty mouth feel. Some barnyardy mouthfeel leading to almost a leathery tongue coating. Horribly strange abbey tripel. Acidic mid-sip.

330 ml. Bottle. Pour is a cloudy gold orange with a white head and lacing. The nose has some beautiful pear and citrus notes with bread dough. Sweet malt and bread with a very warming alcohol presents. Very balanced other then the heat. Good beer.

From 750mL Bottle, 2002 Vintage. Cloudy, but even pour of banana yellow with an even, lasting head of brilliant white foam. Estery, citrusy aromas of sweet nectarines, sherry, and white peach. Smooth, bready yeasty tones that provide tons of "Belgian" yeast characters without the spice. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel with a very "big beer" feel. Alcohol is well hidden. Very tasty flavors of ripe fall apples, light candi sugar, pear skins, and a dusty yeasty finish. Final smack of fresh bread dough with a hint of lemongrass tartness.
