Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Pure caramel. Very nice. Light, yet full bodied. Much unlike any other tripel in that I don’t notice any other flavors other than caramel. Very nice.

OK, I wrote this review when I was fairly loaded, It gets kinda wierd, which I think is funny. 33cl bottle of a different shape than picured here. bottled 2004. Perfect appearance, bright bronze color, billowing white head slowly falls coating the galss in luscious lace. Rushing carbonation, some particles floating around. Holy crap, is this Westmalle? The nose reminds me of that beer...fruitgum...feels full in the mouth, but not thick...said the blonde pornstar to the stud. Goes down real easy, she winks. Kinda creamy, what that stuff floating in the glass?? This review is getting weird, but it should continue in this manner for the best results and most accurate rating. In the background Spoon drones on...Girls can see the moonlight? Its not bitter or hot while it slides down my thoat, the girl says. After looking at it and smelling it, I couldn’t wait to get it in my mouth. It seemed almost as eager as I was for that to happen. Its like getting slapped in the face with a stick of juicy gum. Most have a lot of protein in it, the head is awesome, with the sticky white froth coating the glass. It just takes me over and has its way with me. I’ve had a lot of beers lately, and this one makes me remember why I love beer so much. I think I could drink this all day. But it does make me burp when I swallow it. Really solid. Leaves me a bit dizzy & wacky. This one gives it to me better than most of the monks do...Here at Ratebeer Lounge, no one’s afraid to laugh.

From Bottleworks itself, direct. Bottled - 2002. Aroma of Belgian yeast, apple, and something banana. Also candy, but that’s lite. Hazy peach color with decent, persisting white head. Starts with apple fruit, moves to bready malt, could be some citrus, substantial mouthfeel, lite development of candy flavor, really smooth transition to some hop. It’s complex. It ages well.

Bottle from Bottleworks. Cloudy light golden color with a dense off white head. Mild malt, fresh bread yeast and spice mingle in the nose along with a touch of cotton candy and melon. Smooth across the palate. Pleasant flavors mix with the light tingling effervescence. Melon and spice, honey and citrus, malt and cream. Easy libation for it heft.

330 ml, 2004 bottle (fresh): yellow amber body with flecks of hanging yeast and a full frothy white head. Aroma of spicy cloves, banana, sweet citrus juice and honeyed-yeast. Light, fizzy palate with hoppy coriander, lemon juice, dry Belgian yeast and a peppery dough. Fresh peppermints round out a fabulous finish that is paired nicely with fine malts and herbs. Great Tripel flavours and a bit of its own character, very nice.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Murky amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The yeasty, fruity nose is all about bread (sourdough), honey and clementine. Sweet, breadsy, peppery flavor. Bittered to the point of decent balance. Light pungency. Medium-bodied and watery with lively carbonation. The finish isn’t extremely bitter, but it IS tongue-numbing in an analgesic way. Kudos to vyvvy for shipping this gem my way!

2004. Hazy, golden body with a thick, fluffy head. The aroma is very cool and strong on the clove, citrus, melon and yeast. Bananas and cloves are complimented by oranges, doughy bread, lemon zest, and a touch of spicy alcohol. The body is quite effervescent and really awakens the taste buds. This a good thing because they are promptly pampered by slightly sweet and spicy trippel goodness. The yeast comes through to display some fruity esters which elegantly mesh with the previously noted banana, clove and citrus. This was a pleasant surprise and a downright tasty trippel.
