Pours a deep, slightly cloudy hue with a light white head. Aromas of celery, a light date/fig note, and of course that belgianesque sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with flavors of more celery and green veggies, a touch of caramel with a light effervescence like a tripple but lighter. A different experience.

crimson red body with a thick off white head.aroma is of concentrated fruit juice,hard candy,and belgian yeast.flavor boasts much of the same with a bit of caramel malts.thick mouthfeel with a complex palate.good stuff.

Thanks to <!-- i -->Skoisirius<!-- /i --> via trade. A cloudy reddish/brown pour with a fluffy tan head that lingers. Aroma is fruity, slightly hoppy, yeast, and a slight caramel note. Pleasant. Nice hop texture with a dark fruit note throughout is quite nice. Crisp and filling toward the back end which makes this brew more enjoyable. Palate is lightly bitter and has a slight acidic note. Decent overall, nice and fruity and packs a punch alcohol wise. I would drink it again.

Not your typical flemish ale. The signature sour, crisp notes you find in flemish ales are almost entirely non-existant in this beer. In of itself, this isn’t a bad beer. It definitely has the aroma of a higher percentage beer, almost that of a barley wine. It has a deep rich color. But, when you get to the beer itself, it is a letdown. It almost tastes dead. Boy, after hoping for a fantastic flemish I’m really disappointed. Probably won’t buy this one again.

Pours a murky brown with a full rocky small bead pale tan head. Caramel and bread dough aroma. Taste is molassas and red wine; mild hop bitterness comes though. Alcohol well hidden but the warmth is evident after the swallow. Tart and pleasing. Another great effort from the Bottleworks.

Pour is a very hazy dark red with a small tan head that stays around for awhile. Aroma is very cherry and caramel. Flavor is thick malts with tons of brown sugar and molasses. About the same thickness as a dopplebock. Very tasty and suprising as this only cost $1.29 and i have had worse that cost way more.

2002 vintage. 750 ml bottle into a Tulip glass. Pours a lighter amberish gold hue that is quite cloudy throughout. A very thin white head spreads to the edges of the glass. Aroma hints at honey, yeast, cherries, and malt. Very sugary. Flavor brings out an estringent alcohol taste along with cherries and bitter sweet malt. A hint of hops comes through in the finish, while also adding some citrus in there as well. Thanks to those in Belgium who brewed this for us at Bottleworks!

Slightly cloudy amber color with small off white head. Aroma has notes of apple cider, honey, saffron, white pepper. Flavor is malty, fair amount of honey, touch of cherry and caramel. Finish is midly sweet.
