Nov 18, 2008 Trade with FlssmrBrewAlum, 12 oz bottle. Nice beery smell when I pop the cap, heavy on malts. Pours a somewhat amber and hazy pale ale color, very little head, but I did pour more slowly down the side than usual. A deep smell has suggestions of an antique pine drawer. Totally silly, but that’s what comes to mind. Taste is a little thick in texture, but not syrupy. One of the few "extreme" pale ales where the malt actually beats down any amped up hop load. Some nutty malt sweetness, a backing of orange, slight show of grass and vanilla. A fine beer overall.

Oct 30, 2008 Hazy moderate with a thin head and some light lacing. Hop scent with a deep malt base. I get a hint of smoke in a woodsy beer with a moderate (for US) hop profile. Hoppier than a UK version.

Oct 29, 2008 Another hoppy treat from Boulder! My first impression off the tap at the Brewery, during the tour, was that this was certainly a tasty creation with lots of flavor and a great fruity aroma. Its a little watery to be one of my favorites but my love of hops make this a great driniking beer for me. Bought a 6er on the way out the door.

Oct 29, 2008 Draught at the taphouse at Denver Airport. Cloudy golden - white head. High fresh hoppy, wet grass, fresh grass, light malty, fruity, light sweetness, caramel, peach, grape. Nice.

Oct 24, 2008 Pours an orange color with I’d say an average sized head. The aroma is very floral and herbal. This has a real nice, well balanced, hop/malt combo. The malts are bready and biscuity with perhaps some caramel too. The hops are very floral with tropical fruit. This is pretty good. A real nice surprise and better than the decent session brew I thought I might be getting.

Oct 23, 2008 bottle. first impression I smelled it out of the bottle and thought it smelled kind of funny, then I poured it and everything changed. I thought it smelled like an americian version of a bitter. citrusy and bright, and as it opened up it just got better. I only bought two bottles and wish I had bought more. A must try for fans of bitters or ESBs.

Aroma, hoppy floral/piney, yeasty (moldy) sweet and caramel.
Taste, some caramel malts with nice bitter hoppiness (floral and piney)
Some flating sediments and fruity (graperfruit) hints.

Oct 21, 2008 Pours a light golden color with a very nice inch of pillowy white head. Smell is subtle hops. Taste is mellow hops, with a bit of mild bitterness. This is a decent beer, just doesn’t seem to come together. Really smooth and seems quite sessionable, but at 6.5% this one will catch up with you. Decent, but nothing extraordinary.
