Commercial Description:
Introducing Cold Hop British-style ale, a unique ale with a rich golden hue, and the 7th release in our Looking Glass Series of specialty beers. Cold Hop's pleasantly fruity, floral hop aroma and earthy flavor perfectly balance the mild sweetness of the English grains, resulting in a refreshing yet high-gravity British-Style ale.

Draft at Which Brew. Golden yellow body with thin head. The aroma is hoppy - citrus, malty. Flavor is sweet malt with a hoppy bite to it. Easily more hoppy than any other "english strong ales" I have ever had.

12oz bottle. thanks jase! copper in color with a one inch white sand head. bright tropical fruit aroma. grapefruit mango and lemon all present as a result of the dry hopping. faint caramel malt is also noted. fresh hoppy start is bright and flavorful. then it fades to a sweet grainy middle. it concludes with a lightly floral and somewhat spruce/pine finish. fairly evenly divided between hops and malt. more dry hop on the finish. could have used a little more umph on the finish.

Pour orange / copper with a small light beige head. The aroma has woody earthy hops, some prominent sweetness and some mild caramel malt. Medium rough body with fairly sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with sweet caramel malt, light cotton candy and some spicy hops. The finish has the woody earthy hops coming to the front. A decent beer.

Pour is a orange with a small white head. Aroma is a very nice hop and malt combo with a nice spice coming through. Flavor is very herbal and heavy. Finish is earthy and bitter. A nice take on the style and one you should seek out.

A unique take on a British style IPA, given the the cold hopping and creaminess. A tad of toastiness in the aroma and taste as well. Lace dots. Golden yellow colour. Easy drinking, and I could finish a few of these over a week.

Did not care for this one. Too floral , herbal and grainy. By the second sip I was wondering if I was going to be able to finish it. Most of their other beers I have had are pretty good. This one pretty much sucked. Left 4 of the 6 with relatives. I hope they don’t hate me later on.

Golden body with a mild amber hue and a medium off white head. Aroma is fruity hops. Flavor offers a unique hop bite which must be the result of the "English grains." The malt adds some caramel and herbal earthy flavors are noted. On occasion this beer becomes a pale ale with grapefruit nose and tastes. However, this beer is not a pale ale.

This was a very good beer, with a delicious marriage of malt and hops. I thought the carbonation was especially nice and full in this beer and helped add to the hoppy finish. This would make a great session beer and I would definately buy this again.
