Commercial Description:
Introducing Cold Hop British-style ale, a unique ale with a rich golden hue, and the 7th release in our Looking Glass Series of specialty beers. Cold Hop's pleasantly fruity, floral hop aroma and earthy flavor perfectly balance the mild sweetness of the English grains, resulting in a refreshing yet high-gravity British-Style ale.

Did not care for this one. Too floral , herbal and grainy. By the second sip I was wondering if I was going to be able to finish it. Most of their other beers I have had are pretty good. This one pretty much sucked. Left 4 of the 6 with relatives. I hope they don’t hate me later on.

Golden body with a mild amber hue and a medium off white head. Aroma is fruity hops. Flavor offers a unique hop bite which must be the result of the "English grains." The malt adds some caramel and herbal earthy flavors are noted. On occasion this beer becomes a pale ale with grapefruit nose and tastes. However, this beer is not a pale ale.

This was a very good beer, with a delicious marriage of malt and hops. I thought the carbonation was especially nice and full in this beer and helped add to the hoppy finish. This would make a great session beer and I would definately buy this again.

Bottled. Poured clear medium orange with a short cap of off-white, almost beige head. The aroma was quite enjoyable.. strong alcohol-fueled herbal undertones with toffee, floral, and lighter fruity notes above.. caramel shows up and builds with warmth. The flavor was a bit brash.. sharper boozy notes get in the way of the nice bready grains, and they amplify the strong herbal, floral, and fruity hops a bit too much.. really bitter and boozy in the end.. not bad, just unbalanced. Thicker-bodied and sharp on the palate with a tacky, bitter finish.

bomber. pours copper/amber. minimal head. i’m not sure of the hops used, but they seem fresh, though the aromatics are a bit less than par. it smells like hop resin, sour citrus, and candied lemon peel. the taste is a bit spicy, slightly bitter, and nuances of pine and cedar. still a bit of that sour citrus candy in the taste. finishes fairly smooth, nothing lingering. it’s very easy to drink. i should have bought another one.

Bronze, well carbonated body with frothy, rocky head. Nice hop aroma, citrusy note, mildewy, airy. Easy hop flavor with some bitter-sourness. Borderline APA/English bitter. Solid, with a slightly metallic finish, and on the bitter side.

Rating #150. Pours an amber body with oily lacing and 1 inch of white head. Nose is hops and leather gloves. Tastes include pancake batter, more resinous hops, light fruits, strawberry ice cream, and creamy malts. Medium carbonation and full-bodied. Smooth and very drinkable with enough balanced hop presence to be enjoyable. Good brew. Underrated

12oz - Malty aroma of cardboard, caramel and earthy hops. Pours muddy brown with a small head and decent lacing. Flavors matches aroma but with the hops being more pronounced and a citrus zing in the finish. Palate is sticky and tart. Not a bad session brew.
