Commercial Description:
Introducing Cold Hop British-style ale, a unique ale with a rich golden hue, and the 7th release in our Looking Glass Series of specialty beers. Cold Hop's pleasantly fruity, floral hop aroma and earthy flavor perfectly balance the mild sweetness of the English grains, resulting in a refreshing yet high-gravity British-Style ale.

Poured just like a standard wheat beer...golden color with a whitish head. Aroma is heavy on citrus hops...nothing bad, but nothing to set it apart from the crowd. Flavor is all hops...nothing to set off the hops, and nothing but hops...very citrusy hops with a strong grapefruit feel. Dry finish lingers for a while. You better be a true and strongly dedicated hophead to snag up this beer, and sadly, I’m not... Definitely not my favorite from the folks at BB

Poured a hazy golden with a creamy/fizzy white head. Aroma of some sweet fruitiness, a bit of toffee and bubble gum, and perhaps some citrusy and piney hops. Has a bit of an off character to it. The flavor however is smoother and more refreshing. Flavors of orange juice, pine needles and a bit of a toffee earthiness lead off, smoothing it to a dry, perhaps somewhat one-dimensional finish. Not the most complex of the style I’ve had, but is reasonably refreshing and easy-drinking.

Quality beer but it just doesn’t stand out. Light amber color with a small white head. Mild aroma with scents of pine, a little fruit, and a touch of toast. Light to medium bodied. Citrus and pine flavors that are backed by toasty malt.

Pumpkin to dark honey color, thin off whitr head. Nose is pretty hoppy. Grapefuits, pine and lemongrass. Mild in body, fairly tasteless and dull. Not the worst out there, just expected more.

This was a good beer...something worth trying...but not as "big" as some beers.

poured a nice coppery amber hue with a thin white head that had some lacing. Aroma was typical IPAish caramel malts pine-like hops some citrus like fruits. Flavor was had mild caramel malts with a nice hop finish. I can’t detect any earthy notes that the commercial description indicates, but its still a decent beer.

A terrible offering for boulder. I like most of their beers but this was very off the wall and strange

Amber color and lots of British hop flavor. British hops in aroma too. I appreciate their effort to make a "hoppy" non-IPA.
