Grapefuits, pine and lemongrass. Mild in body, fairly tasteless and dull. Not the worst out there, just expected more. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2007 poured a nice coppery amber hue with a thin white head that had some lacing. Aroma was typical IPAish caramel malts pine-like hops some citrus like fruits. Flavor was had mild caramel malts with a nice hop finish. I can’t detect any earthy notes that the commercial description indicates, but its still a decent beer. Beerman6686 (1310), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Amber color and lots of British hop flavor. British hops in aroma too. I appreciate their effort to make a "hoppy" non-IPA. jhliesen (406), West Melbourne, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Bottle--I expected more ratings than the 122 that have come before me. The beer is an amber color with a medium head with lacing lasting throughout the entire drink. The aroma was hoppy with the grapefruit undertones. The taste had more of malts on front end, followed by the hops. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2007 This is definitely an interesting take on the English Strong Ale style. My eye and nose lead me to believe I was looking at an American IPA. Pours a hazy apricot with a thin and fading white head that manages to leave a bit of lace behind. Sweet aroma of pine, pineapple, grapefruit. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of caramel, berries, a touch of citrus. Dry, earthy finish. Seems to be a sort of ’training wheels IPA’ if you like front end of IPAs, but not the back. beerlord (215), tonawanda, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Nice flowery hop boquet, medium amber color with a small white head. Hoppy flavor with some malt present and the good ol English Kent Golding hop flavor some describe as dirt. I like it a lot. Medium to light mouth feel.
