| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Had this beer on 6/30/2007. Aroma is a fresh hop scent with light citrus tones. Color is a deep golden with very good carbonation and a nice head. Taste is hoppy and bitter. Starting with a medium body smooth with a faint fizz in the end. Finish comes right in with a hoppy flavor that is a bit citrusy and has an almost wood like taste to it. There is a very faint hint of malt and it all ends with a nice bitterness. I thinks its got too much hops and not enough malt. nickspies (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Citrus and sweet aroma, like most pale ales. Light copper color with zero head retention. Not too overpowering on the hop level, which in my opinion is the way a pale ale should be. Some mouthfeel, but could use more. scraff (1946), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Bright coppery orange, creamy off white head. Subdued nose of piney cedar that warms into soft florals and grapefruit. Floral woodsy bitterness rides on a light earthy nutty sweetness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying, lightly bitter finish. For me, this makes for a near perfect session ale. Nicely done.... jerc (3936), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Bottle. Amber, smallish white head. Very mild hops in the aroma with light citrus, zippy lemon and grapefruit hints. Flavour is rather mild, with similarly modest citrusy hops and mild resin. Sweet malt backs it all up. Average palate. It is pleasant, and would make a drinkable session brew (albeit a tad strong for that) but the restrained hops leave me wanting more. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of citrus hops, caramel, slight pine, and some yeast. Flavor starts off with the citrus hops, caramel, and sweet malts. Finishes with a slight toasted malts and a little bitterness. Overall a somewhat decent brew. Aurelius (2651), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2007 PIney, caramel aroma -- plenty of hops there. Some chemical orange in there Bad label, fair cap, pretty nice looking mostly clear brown, rusty brew with a thin meringue-like head. Drier than I expected, prominent hops as advertised, not super fruity. Some off sulphury flavors and aroma, especially when your nose is close to the waterline as you tip the glass. An almost gelatin mouthfeel, spritzy and fruity in the finish. Hops build a bit over time. Fair. natedoggkc (164), Lenexa, Kansas, USA
