Commercial Description:
Introducing Cold Hop British-style ale, a unique ale with a rich golden hue, and the 7th release in our Looking Glass Series of specialty beers. Cold Hop's pleasantly fruity, floral hop aroma and earthy flavor perfectly balance the mild sweetness of the English grains, resulting in a refreshing yet high-gravity British-Style ale.

Bright coppery orange, creamy off white head. Subdued nose of piney cedar that warms into soft florals and grapefruit. Floral woodsy bitterness rides on a light earthy nutty sweetness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying, lightly bitter finish. For me, this makes for a near perfect session ale. Nicely done....

Bottle. Amber, smallish white head. Very mild hops in the aroma with light citrus, zippy lemon and grapefruit hints. Flavour is rather mild, with similarly modest citrusy hops and mild resin. Sweet malt backs it all up. Average palate. It is pleasant, and would make a drinkable session brew (albeit a tad strong for that) but the restrained hops leave me wanting more.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of citrus hops, caramel, slight pine, and some yeast. Flavor starts off with the citrus hops, caramel, and sweet malts. Finishes with a slight toasted malts and a little bitterness. Overall a somewhat decent brew.

PIney, caramel aroma -- plenty of hops there. Some chemical orange in there Bad label, fair cap, pretty nice looking mostly clear brown, rusty brew with a thin meringue-like head. Drier than I expected, prominent hops as advertised, not super fruity. Some off sulphury flavors and aroma, especially when your nose is close to the waterline as you tip the glass. An almost gelatin mouthfeel, spritzy and fruity in the finish. Hops build a bit over time. Fair.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a slight head. Aroma of orange, hop, grapefruit, and some pine. This is nice...some sweetness with a nice balance of hops. This is a good beer!!!

Bottle… Crystal clear amber ale with a large, frothy, off-white head. Great retention. The nose is a complex, churning eddy of caramel, praline, toffee, pine and grapefruit with lesser notes of brown sugar and nutmeg. Great balance of flavors. Sweet toffee and tannic grapefruit pith with mild to moderate acidity. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Lengthy, astringent, mildly pungent finish.

12oz. Poured a clear deep copper with a large long lasting off-white head. Decent grassy and earthy hop aroma with a light pine mixed into a semi-sweet malt. The flavor was piney, earthy and malty with a citrusy and bitter finish.

bottle. poured a dark orange with a small whit head. smell was sweet malt. the taste caught me off guard with a earthy tone than a more familar and a bitter finish thanks to the hops present. no alcohol in the taste which i expected of the style but i guess thats because its only 6.5%.
