The taste was a bit lighter; smooth and light hops, piny, some light citrus and bitterness in the finish. Kinda watery, but quite nice. A nice session beer. satan165 (616), River Grove, Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 25, 2008 Pours a cloudy brownish amber with some red hues. The head is nice and thick with an off white color and leaves streaks along the trappist glass in which it was poured into. You can really smell the hops in the aroma with some toasted malt. The flavor is nice and bitter with pine and spruce and a citrus finish that bites the back of your mouth. This tastes more like an IPA then a pale ale but they did a great job brewing it. It has a nice balance of carbonation and malt and a great texture on the palate. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
