Wondefrully balanced flavor between hoppy bitterness and maltiness. Wonderfully hoppy finish, great for hot weather. jkaiser (220), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 8, 2008 This was number 19 at beerfest. I’m not that sure what I taste anymore. This beer was pretty forgettable. But what do you expect after the first 18 beers have their way with you. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2008 KSBF 08. Amber pour with a huge pine nose. The malt backbone in this was very fruity but not grapefruit...more like something tropical...pineapple or guava or mango or some other fruit that people don’t eat regularly. Sweet, thick and perfumy. Passable. bbrock81 (221), Le Mars, Iowa, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a medium, nearly white head. Aroma is rich with pine and citrus hop, some floral, smells wonderful. Flavor is very nicely balanced between the high hop bitterness and sweet malty flavors, with some good cereal and bread flavors lurking under the bright, citrusy hops. Palate is medium, and the finish is all hops. Very good! tilldeath (87), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 2, 2008 hoppy hop hop, and a little floral. Good beer to try but not a very drinkable beer. blindeyedbetty (152), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours a caramel-amber color with sparse white head that leaves stiff lacing. Strong aroma of hops and green hay. Musky front palate of wood - maybe light mahogany, with a middle palate of citrus and herbs with a fat round hoppy finish. Nice beer with an ABV that would allow for more than one - which is good, since it’s relatively easy to drink. Would pair nicely with a steak salad with garlic and goat cheese or roasted chicken and vegetables. fata2683 (906), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Bottle from world of beer in Tampa. Nice light amber color with a white head, smells of hops and citrus. The flavor in this beer is great, tons of fresh hops and light citrus in the backround. A very refreshing and drinkable beer. hamsterglory (48), Bryan, Texas, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 13, 2008 i’m telling you: at one time, this was a five star beer. despite what dan at boulder beer says, something has changed. something has backed up and relented. maybe the price of hops? maybe the shortage of necessities? whatever the case - something has changed. but that something is not my allegiance to this brewery or this particular ale. i love boulder beer. i love hazed and infused. were i awaiting the electric chair and i had only five beers to drink before my death, i would choose a hazed. i mean, really, people, it’s just that good. (okay, that was melodramatic, but still). melted penny copper color imbues a full dry-hop aroma. i smell slightly familiar flavor. i taste jason scott’s kansas city living room and rob zombie’s filmography. i taste herb harjes’ denver camaraderie and cara harjes’ great stories. i tasted that christmas eve when the wife and i watched ALL the ROCKY films, and i woke up on christmas day with a splitting headache. yes: this is my ale. i see it is the color, smell it in the aroma, taste it in the changed flavor, miss it when i am away from distribution. i could say more about the technicalities, but this is not a technical beer for me: it’s autobiographical. and i hope more people will subscribe to its story.
