| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 11, 2008 12 oz bottle from John’s - Pours a nice hazy amber color. Smells quite hoppy, more like an IPA than a Pale Ale. Taste could be a bit more balanced, but overall it’s a very good beer. Nice work. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Pours a hazy deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is big sweet caramel, pineapple and grass. Flavor is oddly nothing like the nose, astringent bitterness and light sweetness. Finishes short and bitter. Medium bodied, sticky texture. brigg (216), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Piney hops on the nose. Flavor is a good balance between the malt and the hoppy finish. Very smooth and easy drinking. goldbrew (99), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2008 A more malty pale ale, yet more digestible than a Dogfish. The hop fruity blend is detectable and appreciated in the aroma and especially in the finish. Pine is there but there’s more going on than "Hey revel in our piney-ness". A finish which is properly sharp but not overpowering or abruptly stark. Good example of an APA that mixes the malt in better balance with the style’s overt crispness. An enjoyable drink.
