This beer poured with minimal head on tap at the Old Chicago restaurant in Manhattan Kansas. Immediately you taste the hops, but it only has the finest veneer of bitterness and a little more might be nice, though the hop flavor without the bitterness does lend this beer a little uniqueness. Moderate carbonation, good mouth feel, reminds me of grapefruit. I recommend letting this one warm up a few degrees since it lacks complexity served ice cold. Good beer. drfabulous (1283), Columbia, Missouri, USA

Smells of citrus, earthy, some tea, resiny. Tastes lightly bitter and caramelly with a nice citrussy element. KnN (756), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Cloudy orange color with a thin white head. Aroma is pine, citrus and some sweet malt. Flavor is similar. Not terribly hop forward, but there’s a nice bitter tinge and some good malt backbone. Nice easy drinking beer. Elwood (684), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: "Hazy" dark amber color with a sizeable, off-white head. Good head retention and decent lacing.
Aroma: Evenly balanced with pine, orange, and caramel notes.
Flavor: Mirrors the nose to some degree with lots of hops giving pine, citrus, and a touch of earth notes and the malt giving caramel, a little toasted malt, and some fruitiness.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-long, bitter finish.
Overall: A pretty decent APA. You can certainly do worse. Recommended. Vas19 (299), Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Pours hazy brown/amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is strong floral hops. Flavor is a lightly maltiness with some woody hops The finish is roasted nuts. It’s decent but there’s nothing to exciting about it. CanIHave4Beers (918), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Even with a gentle pour half my glass was head with this one, it’s a nice solid head with good retention, normally that’s a good thing but this head taking up half my pint glass is just kind of sticking around not letting me get to drinking this beer... The beer it’s self is a deep golden almost orange color. I detect some pine, citrus, and light caramel notes in the aroma, this smells really nice. The flavor is far maltier than I expected from the aroma but it’s pretty tasty There are some light biscuit and fruity malt notes, with some hints of rosewater and pronounced alcohol. The hops are very present in the flavor as well, the beer is bitter with some grapefruit character and a light melon hoppiness. Something about this seems unbalanced, a bit too much alcohol is showing through here but I like everything else that’s going on. potbeercollege (430), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2009 Bottled. Thickly hazed amber with off-white head. Aroma is dryhopped out of control, but fairly straight forward and one-dimensial. Flavor is sweet citrus and light hops. Dry finish, actually dry throughout. good brew.
