A very nice pine, floral hops aroma. Taste is hoppy but the palate is rather smooth. Nice balance with some malts make this a very drinkable brew. CasperQuaffer (142), Casper, Wyoming, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Complex aroma combines mountain stream, flower bed with a hint of smoked meat. Appears cloudy brown with latte froth colored head. Flavor strong spicy hop, moderate wort. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Had this beer on 12/25/2002. Aroma is fresh and full of a nice hop scent. Color is a clear orange with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is HOPPY, o so hoppy. It starts with a light medium body that goes down crisp. Finish is one of the most wonderful, hop filled delights I have ever had. First you get the taste of the aromatic hops just as you finish sipping it down, then the bright fresh taste of these hops builds nicely. This is all topped off with the perfect balance of malt and a firm bitterness. mribm (419), Hurley, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2007 The previous rater (Hangover) said it all, however I’d like to add that this beer seemed more like an IPA due to the very heavy hoppiness. I liked this ber a lot and will definately buy it again. Hangover (771), Atlanta, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Copper pour, some sediment, with a lasting, slightly rocky, tan head. Strong citrus, pine aroma. Very hoppy flavor for a low abv beer. Mostly orange/citrus/apricot but there are some grapefruit notes towards the middle. Quick finish, lingering grapefruit. Pretty good, easy drinking. JFURYCAT (792), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2007 I can’t believe I never rated this one. It has a rather butterscotch laden dry hop sensation with saltiness in there. The light malt backbone supports the hoppiness almost like a trampoline which kicks the citrus grapefruit tones up. The medium palate makes this one an easy sipper. If the beer had more staying power it would be a classic. The grassy nature seems to dissipate too quickly. An enjoyable beer nonetheless. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Copper colour with a thick white head. The aroma is a blend of citrus and gras hops. The flavor is overwhelming grassy hops with a nice long hops aftertaste. Theres a very faint and light malt backbone to support all the hops. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Bottle. the aroma on this beer was dominant. i can’t get enough hops so i found it very attractive. smells of strong citrus and pine hops. the palate was a little watery and thin but the taste being filled with hops with a light malt backbone makes up for it. a really great american pale ale.
