A great looking pour. Very nice aroma of hops, citrus, pine and floral. Flavor takes on some mild malts as well as more hops and citrus. Finish is slightly dry and bitter. Very good overall. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2007 12 oz bottle. Deep amber coloured beer with a thin light tan head. Caramel and toffeeish sweetness up front suggest that this particular bottle isn’t terribly fresh. Light grapefruit on the back. Biscuit and cookie dough maltiness. Decent bitterness helps counter the toffeeish sweetness but there is a lack of fresh hop flavour that I was hoping for. Lightly fruity on the back with a heavy bready malt character. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Bottle. Pine and mandarin orange on the nose balanced by some sweeter caramel malt. Pours cloudy amber/copper with a rocky off-white head. Decent amount of dry hops on the palate. Needs some more malt. Finishes dry and slightly watery and metallic. Too bad... was very promising. But not bad by any means. stefanje (949), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2007 500ml bottle. Pours a hazy unfiltered rich copper color with an ample off-white head that faded to 1/8 inch. Plenty of lacing noted. Aroma was light with pine and oranges. Flavor was hops forward, but not particularly biter, also noted were biscuits and malts.Overall flavor was good but one-dimensional. Mouthfeel was clean and a bit thin with a filmy after-effect. Finish was clean and sweet. Overall, a better than average beer. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
