Tasted of hops with a sweet malt in the background. I actually thought this was an IPA when I had it the hops were so prominent. Glazed9884 (207), USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Sweet bready malt aroma accompanied by some citrus and pine. Pours gold/red. Flavor is mostly medium sweet malt followed by peppery hops. Kind of sweet and wierd. Maybe a line cleaning issue? Finish is dry and resiny. bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 25, 2007 I first tried this in a bottle and wasn’t too impressed. The second bottle I tried was better. Then I tried it at the microbrewery. It won me over then. Nice darker amber colour with a quickly disappearing head. Very hoppy aroma with nice strong citrus notes and some mint. Flavour is malty but the hops make a strong showing and match the aroma. Palate is pleasant, with a heavier mouthfeel than expected and nice carbonation. An enjoyable to drink beer that took me a few times to be able to really enjoy, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. jason (1627), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Draught at Which Brew. Medium amber body with nice head. Aroma is extremly hoppy, citrus, i noticed an amarillo scent but it doesn’t seem that the beer is made with amarillo hops, hmmm! Flavor is sweet, hoppy with a nice malt profile. Sticky mouthfeel. Pretty good pale ale. TheBeerBaron (219), Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 24, 2007 Deep amber color, small carbonation bubbles and a creamy thick head that recedes to an impressive lace. Definite hop aroma mixed with lime and mint. Not as overpowering a hop smell as som other pale ales, more sedated and smooth. Heavy, fizzy palate thats on par with beers of this style. Dry, hopped flavor that indeed gives off notes of peppermint. The mint leaves a refreshing aftertaste and a cooling sensation. This beer is a standout in my book.
