A mix of light bread, toasted and caramel smells for the malts, moderate spruce note for the hops, light broth for the yeast, and port, alcohol and carboard in the background. Head is small, wispy, white, with virtually no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is red/brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is medium, creamy and has a lively carbonation.. Not bad flavors, just weaker than I expected.
