| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2008 ’07 bottle. pours a brilliant deep red with a 1 finger off white head. sweet & sugary malt aroma with a touch of caramel. solid medium to full body over the palate. banana up front, sweet and a bit of spice on the sides with the alcohol coming through on the back. strong finish - a bit too hot and ends abruptly. overall not a great BW... decent, worth drinking once... enjoyable, but nothing to really remember about this one.... typical for Boulder Beer Co.... just kind of average. jjuf1853 (471), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2008 22oz 2007 bomber purchased at Spirits Red Bank. Pours a clear reddish rust color with a small light beige frothy head, very nice for a BW. Aroma is loaded with sweetness, caramel, toffee, honey, maple syrup, raisins and alcohol. Full bodied with light carbonation. The flavor is just as sweet as the aroma would lead you to believe with lots of toffee, maple flavored ice cream, slight caramel and some grainy breadiness. This is the best boulder beer by far and a nicely done BW. msiano (30), Belmar, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 30, 2008 The hop aroma is pretty forward bad after taste of grapefruit .a slight caramel-raisin color. There’s a weird, dark earthiness to the finish, it was alot of work opening the bottle. They could of gone alttle lighter on the wax. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 30, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body, small fizzy beige head falls to a wispy film. Heavy toffee and caramel malt fight with piney hops for aromatic dominance. Moderate alcohol vapors, brown sugar, and some fusal notes. Heavy brown sugar sweetness with lots of caramel and toffee, this is pretty much exactly as I expected from Boulder. A little hot on the finish. This is just a one trick pony, zero complexity. Piney bitterness on the finish. Heavy mouthfeel with lots of clingy sweetness and moderate fizzy carbonation. These guys are right up there with Avery for me. A couple decent regular brews, but the big beers are boring and under attenuated. NJBeerman013 (782), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Bottle, 2007 vintage - Pours a ruddy amber in color with a creamy off white head. The aroma is fruity and malty with a bit of hoppy freshness. The flavor is a bit fruity in the front with a dry, hoppy bite in the finish. It has a full mouthfeel with a strong alcoholy character. An interesting take on the style, however, not my favorite. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Pours a dark amber with a dirty white head. Aroma is strong malt and hops. Flavor has some fruits up front, some hops, a bit of caramel and a bit of alcohol. Finishes far too watery. Decent but falls flat on the finish which kills this kind of beer.
