matthasson (59), Pennsylvania, USA Nov 8, 2009 A disappointing IPA. Too much of a caramel maltiness takes the stage and overshadows the hoppy bitterness I crave. It is a little sweet with a soapy finish. Forgettable. WildcatInFL (1), Florida, USA does not count Oct 31, 2009 Very smooth to my palate. Love the smell, and while the hops are definitely there, they don’t kill the rest of the flavors of citrus. Finishes clean. BeerNewbie29 (1), Florida, USA does not count Oct 31, 2009 I really enjoyed this beer. It has a lasting aftertaste that makes you want to take another sip. It has a great color to it with and citrus zest in it. I keep it stocked in my man lair fridge. bsjay (54), Oregon, USA Oct 27, 2009 A good IPA, but a little more bitter than I like them. Mojo is dependable and will do in a pinch. alagnak (296), Littleton, Colorado, USA Oct 26, 2009 Bottle. Have had this many times over the years, first rate. Defininte orange peel in the nose, very citric yet sweet. Taste is subdued orange and citric bitterness throughout, some pleasant caramel overtones help it along. All in all, very nice take on an ENglish IPA. Won’t overwhelm in flavor profile or anything, but a nicely done beer. mjs (1446), Helsinki, Finland Oct 25, 2009 (Draught) Beer is of golden colour and it is clear. The head is white and medium sized. The aroma is dominated by grassy hops - this actuall amazes me now when I read the hops used is Amarillo. The body is dry and medium with medium carbonation. Flavour consists of malts, hops, grass, only lightly fruitiness and decent amount of bitterness. Aftertaste is one of grass and bitterness. Nice IPA. Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA Oct 23, 2009 Nice IPA that has a pleasant citrussy hoppy profile. I get sugars in this one of cane sugar but the hops are definitely the stars of the show and it’s never wet, very dry on the finish. Very solid IPA. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 13, 2009 (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of orange peel, mandarin and fresh hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with orange peel, mandarin, dried apricots, grainy malt and fresh, citrussy hops in the finish. Generous bitterness, some sweetness. Well balanced and tasty IPA.
