Commercial Description:
Mo-Jo: 1: A magic spell or charm; magical power; 2. Herbaceous ale that summons hop attacks.

Pale in color but packed with flavor, MoJo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop adds a slight citrus flavor to an ultra-crisp dry finish.

Surprised for the better on this. I’m into dry beers lately, and while the malts in this do sweeten it on the back, it blends well with the Amarillo hops. I think I got a super-fresh tap, and it was well worth it. Lots and lots of citrus in this baby. I like that. Not outstanding, but I’ve been less and less interested in over-the-top beers lately, so this was a nice addition to my tab.

Pours golden with a thin white head. Aroma is dominated by citrusy hops. Flavor is citrusy, piney hops with just enough malts to keep it balanced. One of my favorite IPAs.

Enjoyable IPA. Aroma is very hoppy with some fruits. Well balanced flavors, nothing standing out though.

pours golden with very little head. aroma is floral and hoppy, some citrus, and a slight malty sweet pushing through. drinks with a slight bitter bite upfront but smooths out through the malts. nice easy drinker.

Pours a golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is floral hops with some sweet malt. Beer is balanced, but does not have an outstanding characteristic to it. Easy drinking, nice flavor, and crisp. Good session IPA.

bottle. Pours a crystal clear light copper color, a bit light on the head with maybe a half inch of dense white head that clears pretty quick, leaving a thin layer with decent lacing. Aroma dominated by light, bittersweet tropical fruit- tangerines, oranges, pineapple, with some chalky floral notes in the background. Hints of light caramel sweetness. Flavor follows the nose, if a bit muted. Bitterness is on the light side, though even throughout the palate. Lightly sweet, thin toasted caramel malt backbone takes a backseat to the hop profile. Fruit character from the hops dominates over bitterness, mainly with sweet oranges and tangerines. Some light earthy/grassy notes as well. Palate is on the light side of things with a bit of a grainy finish. Decent IPA, could use some toning up on the bitterness and toning down on the sweetness.

On tap at Boulder Beer Tap House at DIA. Pours clear golden-amber, with a medium beige head, good lacing. Medium body, velvety, with a slightly crisp edge. Smells of grapefruit, pine with some subtle dough notes. Medium body. Lots of grapefruit and pine flavors, with some bread and just a hint of banana. Medium bitter.

22 oz bomber. Light carbonation, clear copper body. Citrus taste quickly fades into strong malt taste. Enjoyable but lacks standout quality.
