Taste is good and hoppy, yeasty, cheesy aftertaste similar to Stone’s IPA. Some yeast floatsies in the batch I had. Good IPA but not quite up there with the best. Slightly watery whichi s what hurts it from receiving a truly stellar rating from me. It’s got definite potential, I’ll look forward to new batches. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 27, 2008 12 oz, bottled June 18, 2008. Clear burnt orange with a two-finger head that hangs around and leaves frosty lace. Aroma is citrus, resin, slight peach and banana. Flavor starts as a nice blend of the same (less the banana), then slowly becomes more bitter with resin and wood. The aftertaste has a slight plastic and wooden harshness that detracts a bit. Light-medium body is smooth, tingly and dry. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Poured from a bottle. Poured a hazy orange color with a moderate white head that diminished to a ring. Aroma of sweet hops and citrus. Initial hop bite leads into a moderate grapefruit finish. It has just the right amount of carbonation to bite the tongue a bit. Just a bit too one dimensional for my taste, with no real malt backbone to complement the hops. Still a decent beer.

Pleasant flushness of citrus and amarillo hops. Refreshing aroma, well-stated orange-citrus hop twang that is again, highly refreshing. Moderately dryish finish. Light candi flavor. Solid malt backbone. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells of soft citrus and a touch of pine. Flavor is orange juice, grapefruit, and a strange sweetness. Nice smooth mouthfeel without being cloying. A lot of warmth is generated for only being 6.8% abv. A good but not great IPA. Haslinger (666), Syracuse, New York, USA

Flavor is citrus hops, cereal grains, earth, and orange peel. Finishes slightly bitter, peaks at about a 4 out of 10. Decent but the malt background seems a bit odd in this one.
