| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Fruity resiny nose. Gold amber color, big frothy head with some lacing. Deep sweet toffee malt, huge bitterness, then spicy hop aromas. Tight carbonation, almost creamy medium body. Nice long complex finish with pepper at the tail end. Really solid IPA, seems a bit different (in a good way ) than many others? jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 4, 2008 I’m really getting sick of seeing these psychedelic labels (New Holland, Magic Hat, now Boulder, etc.). Oh well. The beer pours orange-copper. Good citric hops in the aroma, along with some spicy ones that recall classic English IPAs. Actually, it more readily recalls Smuttynose’s IPA. Very well balanced. The hops don’t leave a lingering bitterness, but seem full in the flavor. Points off for a touch of astringency. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours a fuzzy marigold-sunflower yellow color with sparse, tight white head that dissipates quickly leaving moderate lacing. Aroma is that of spice, vanilla and Lemon Pledge. Grassy front palate with citrusy middle and heavy hop finale. Bitter aftertaste. This could be paired nicely with a hard-core roasted garlic caesar salad with peppered chicken or steak. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 28, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours a light copper color with an off-white head. Aroma is citrus and relatively hoppy. I may have been spoiled by the Hazed and Infused, but I wasn’t as impressed by this beer. It wasn’t bad, just not spectacular. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2008 Pours copper with a nice-sized off-white head. Aroma is of resinous pine and citrus. Taste is also very hoppy with a light malt backing. Not overwhelmed by the hops. The balance was a little off as well. Not a bad IPA.
